Less statistics, more heart

What this book doesn’t ask.

It skips the stats and the dates and goes straight to the things you actually want to remember: what made them laugh, what they said, who they’re becoming.

The old book wanted

  • Weight and length at every checkup
  • The date each tooth came in
  • Inked footprints at two weeks old
  • Percentiles, charted
  • First solid food (and second)

This one asks

  • What made them laugh this year
  • The cute things they said
  • Adventures you went on
  • Favorites: food, book, song, friend
  • Who they are becoming

“Who cares what date they lost each tooth?!”

I’ve been hunting for a “baby book” that works for my 14 and 11 year old

I’ve been hunting for a “baby book” that works for my 14 and 11 year old, as we have a new baby coming and realized we didn’t have books for the big kids. I love that I can create one for all of them now without having to remember when their teeth came in 14 years ago. We had each one engraved with their name and they’re beautiful and high-quality.

I didn’t know I needed this!

I wasn’t sure what book to purchase during my pregnancy for my first child’s baby book. I found Kept and I’m so glad I did. I love how easy this book is to fill out. It is also very high quality. There are open prompts instead of detailed spaces and I love the open spaces for photos of your choosing! I highly recommend it for any first time parents!

Made my wife cry on Mother’s Day

Such a well-thought-out gift. I bought two for my wife’s Mother’s Day present this year. She typically doesn’t get emotional with gifts, but she cried when she saw them.

What I’ve been waiting for

I have been working a little each night on these kept books, one for each of my children who are now 2 and five. It’s not too late! It was surprisingly easy to fill out by looking back at photos on my phone and searching my text messages for “*name of child* said.” It was fun to take a walk down memory lane with my husband deciding what to write for each section. I’m almost caught up!

The best!

I have a 2 year old & never started a baby book. This made it so easy for me to “catch up” and get his book put together. I also started for our newborn & it’s been a joy to do them at the same time & see the differences & similarities in our babies!

I bought these books as a gift for my daughter

They were on her wishlist and we love them. They are so beautiful and the embossed names turned out so well. She will enjoy filling them out and will treasure them for years to come.

Just bought a second for our second!

I bought one for my son in 2021, and have made it a habit of taking the time to document sweet and funny moments throughout the past two years with him. As soon as we found out we were expecting our second, I ordered another one. It’s the only baby book I can keep up with. Highly recommend!

Big kids too

One for each of them.

Most baby books only work from day one, so the older kids never got one. This one starts at whatever age they are now. Give each kid their own: their color, their name on the cover, their years inside.

Frequently asked questions

My oldest is eleven. Isn’t it too late?

No. The book is simple enough to go back and fill in for an older kid. With a camera roll and a few old texts, most parents with older kids tell us they’ve been able to fill in most of it. The point isn’t to capture everything, just the things that matter to you. Parents have started at eight, at eleven, and even one at twenty-two!

We’re expecting. When should we start?

Whenever you like. The book opens with your family tree and a short pregnancy section, then the day they’re born, then a few pages for every year to eighteen. Plenty of parents order it before the baby comes and don’t write a word the first year. Nothing on the page goes stale while you wait.

What if we don’t keep up with it?

Most baby books want daily entries, dates and measurements, so one busy month puts you behind. This one asks a handful of questions a year: favorites, adventures, the cute things they said. Pick it up every few months, or even once a year around their birthday.

Is it a good gift?

Yes. People give it for baby showers, first Mother’s Days, and a lot of new parents’ Christmas lists. Add the baby’s name to the cover and it arrives already theirs. Not sure which color they’d pick? A gift card lets them choose. Around the holidays, check the shipping deadlines on the product page.

Is there room for photos?

Some. It isn’t a dedicated photo book. It’s built for writing down the things you want to remember. There are blank pages at the end of each year that fit Polaroids or mini prints if you’d like to add a few.

Can each kid have their name on the cover?

Yes, if you’d like. It’s optional: the name is imprinted on the linen cover, up to ten characters, for $20 a book. Imprinted books take an extra 5–7 business days before they ship, so around the major holidays check the shipping deadlines on the product page.

What if it isn’t right for us?

Return it for any reason within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund. No questions asked.

Six colors, with customization options.

Pick a color for each kid. Their name goes on the linen, up to ten characters, so there’s never a question of whose book is whose. Giving it as a gift? It arrives with their name already on it.
