CHILDHOOD, A HISTORY
CHILDHOOD, A HISTORY
We designed this book for parents who want a simple, non-overwhelming way to capture the most meaningful moments from their child’s life.
The book’s prompts focus less on statistics and more on the heart - their ideas, passions, special talents, and funny quirks.
Spanning from birth to eighteen (including two pages for pregnancy) it includes yearly sections for birthdays, adventures, interests, and fun age-appropriate prompts.
Whether you’re a brand new parent or your child is a bit older and you want to “catch up” (it’s not too late!) this journal is designed to help you capture little windows into who your child is and who they are becoming.
- Smyth-sewn binding that will last for generations
- 80# text, partially recycled paper
- 6.75 x 8.75 inches
- Made in the U.S.
Less statistics. More heart.
After feeling guilty about missing time-sensitive things in our own kids' baby books, we spent a year designing a book focused less on documenting statistics and more on the things that actually matter - the moments, memories, and unique insights that we’d want to cherish for years to come.
Didn't start at the beginning?
Niether did we! The good news is, this is the journal where (with the help of old calendars, social media, photo reels) going back is actually possible. And remember, it doesn’t need to be perfect! It just needs to be heartfelt.
Built to last generations.
The goal is for this book to become an heirloom that gets passed on to future generations. For this reason, these books are made entirely in the US and we personally oversee every step from sourcing, printing, binding, and fulfillment. The covers are 100% cotton and use no plastics or artificial coating. Each book is individually bound using the smyth-sewn method, making them extremely flexible and virtually indestructible.
No-hassle return policy
Not sure if this journal is right for you? We get it, sometimes you just need to have it in your hands. Go ahead order the book, open it, flip through the pages, and if you decide it’s not the right fit for you simply send it back using our return portal . We only ask that the book be in its original condition, and for a small fee of $3 to help with return shipping costs.
Excited to complete for my 3 boys
I was very happy to receive these high quality books. I ordered three because I want to have something special to record memories of my boys (ages 3.5, 1.5, and one due soon). They do and say hilarious things and I want to be able to keep record for them to see when they’re older. I already do photo books separately so this gives me a way to record the rest of their journey. I wish my parents had these when I was growing up.
I bought 2 of these, one for each of my sons ages 3 & 5. I've always felt guilty that I haven't completed either of their baby books, but I honestly was avoiding the project as it has seemed so overwhelming. But this book seems easily doable with plenty of flexibility (especially if you've forgotten to record every date of every moment like me!) It includes everything without all the extra fluff. I'm so thankful I found this and I know my kids will be too!
It arrived well-packaged and in good condition. The book has prompts and is open ended at the same time. It’s a much different experience than the typical “baby” book. I have one of those, too, but that’s is like keeping records of basic info. Does it really matter that his first solid food was at 5 months? Nah, what matters more is how he reacted, what he loved/hated, etc. This is a wonderful gift to give parents, maybe even after the baby turns one. Before that, I doubt they’d remember that own it. I barely remembered to use my original baby book, and it wasn’t nearly as special as this one. So yeah, a perfect baby/one year birthday gift!
I really love these books. My mom passed away before I had children and I found myself wanting to know things that I never thought to ask her before. I wanted to have a way to keep track of important things in my sons' lives so they would know everything just in case something happened to me. I was keeping track of things in just a plain journal with no structure. It worked fine at first, but when I had my 2nd child, I ran into the issue of how to document each child's accomplishments separately as well as when we did things like vacation all together. And there was always the question of which child should get the journal later on? These books are perfect for documenting all the important things in their lives. I like that there are pages with prompts, tailored to the child's age. And there are also blank pages for each year to add anything extra the structured sections didn't cover. I got one for each of my boys so they can have their own separate book when they're older.
This book is just what we were looking for. Our son is 14 months old and we hadn’t purchased a baby book because they were all structured for families that didn’t look like ours. Thank you Kept
