We designed this book for parents who want a baby book with less statistics and more heart. Childhood, A History is a place to write down your child's story in a meaningful, but non-overwhelming way.

About the Book

The book’s prompts focus less on statistics and more on the heart - their ideas, passions, special talents, and funny quirks.

Spanning from birth to eighteen (including two pages for pregnancy) it includes yearly sections for birthdays, adventures, interests, and fun age-appropriate prompts.

Whether you’re a brand new parent or your child is a bit older and you want to “catch up” (it’s not too late!) this journal is designed to help you capture little windows into who your child is and who they are becoming.

After feeling guilty about missing time-sensitive things in our own kids' baby books, we spent a year designing a book focused less on documenting statistics and more on the things that actually matter - the moments, memories, and unique insights that we’d want to cherish for years to come.

Didn't start when they were babies?

Neither did we! The good news is, this is the journal where (with the help of your photos on your phone) going back is actually possible. And remember, it doesn’t need to be perfect! It just needs to be heartfelt.

Ordered another for my oldest

We ordered this book for our baby and loved it so much we got another for my oldest and transferred some of the info from her old baby book that only covered pregnancy and the “brand new baby” moments. I love that kept’s book is so easy to keep up with, little blurbs that are easy to fill in as time goes on, and I’ve never seen one that goes all the way through to age 18. The book itself is absolutely gorgeous and very hefty and sturdy. The muted colors are beautiful and we have a rose and a sage green for our two.

An actually enjoyable baby book

Love how this format allows you to be creative while using short form. It was always so intimidating with previous baby books to set aside hours to document, whereas this one you can do quick entries that are impactful regardless. Love it!

Easy and awesome book

This book blew me away. I ordered hoping it would be something easy enough to capture memories for our son. When I opened it, my jaw dropped. The previews don’t do it justice. Sure, there are easy-to-fill-in templates, but there’s also a family tree, a page to describe how each birthday was spent, and fun age-appropriate things for each section. So much fun to fill out, even the parts where I’m working backwards (and can easily be done small chunks when I have time). Completely thrilled.

Absolutely perfect

My girls are 5 and (almost) 2. I’ve been feeling the pressure that I haven’t done a great job being the “family record keeper” - what good are “notes” on my phone of cute things they say?? Should I have printed pictures?? Well, I ordered two of these books and couldn’t be happier. I love that there’s a place for me to put everything, all in one. I’m so excited to keep up with these throughout the years, and catching up has been soooo much fun. You really can start whenever, the walk down memory lane just may be a little longer… but it’ll still be sweet.
